Maria, this is probably my favorite article so far in Phi/AI! And the process you describe is very similar to mine. But I realize that not many people intuitively adopt this approach to "Thinking with AI". I am a meta-cognition nerd, in case it wasn't obvious. I constantly stress-test this about myself, to the point of exhaustion. My conclusion has been that how I approach thinking has changed forever... and I am still trying to figure out what I like about it and what I don't, to then draw conclusions that may help others. Great stuff. I often wonder what we mean when we say, keep the human front and center. Probably deserves a thorough interrogation. So many notions of the human, so much implicit ideology as baggage.
Yes, humanity isn't a monolith, and is used as a catchall. To me - it means to when using these tools, ensuring that we are not bypassing our human judgement in the process. I agree this needs further interrogation though - because even as I was writing this comment, I was trying to figure out the angle to approach it from!

Nothing could be farther from reality. The instant AI drafts are not me. And to get it to sound like my ideas takes a lot of thinking work.
